DiaBeatit Run

Sabine Daemen’s PhD project proposal granted

The research proposal entitled "Droplets preventing the overflow: PLIN5-coated lipid droplets in insulin sensitivity and mitochondrial function" by Sabine Daemen was awarded by the NUTRIM NWO Graduate Program. Sabine will start her PhD project on September 1st. Congratulations and welcome!

VIDI grant for Joris Hoeks

Joris Hoeks received a prestigious VIDI Grant from the Talent Scheme of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) for his research proposal entitled: "The Might of MicroRNA in Muscle Mitochondrial Metabolism". A VIDI Award includes a maximum of 800,000 euros to develop an innovative line of research and to build up a research group.
